NFL Week 15 Picks Against the Spread

Publish Date: December 14, 2021

NFL Week 15 is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are the NFL week 15 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from tallysight as of Tuesday morning)

Last week: 7-7, Season total: 100-107-1

Thursday Night Football

Kansas City Chiefs (-4.5) at Los Angeles Chargers

After drubbing the Raiders, it looks like the Chiefs are hitting their stride. Los Angeles doesn’t have too big of a home-field advantage to speak of, so the Chiefs should be able to win and cover on the road.

Pick: Chiefs

Saturday

Las Vegas Raiders at Cleveland Browns (-5.5)

The Browns barely beat a Ravens team without Lamar Jackson, on top of all the other Baltimore injuries. They should be able to win at home, but Carr and the Raiders will keep it close, as they are battling for a playoff spot.

Pick: Raiders

New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts (-2.5)

Saturday night features a matchup with two possible playoff teams. If anyone can slow down Jonathan Taylor, who will have fresh legs after the bye week, it is Bill Bellichick. The game will likely come down to the wire, so the safe bet is with the Patriots and the points.

Pick: Patriots

Sunday Afternoon

Carolina Panthers at Buffalo Bills (-10.5)

Carolina still hasn’t found their quarterback, even after firing offensive coordinator Joe Brady. Buffalo needs to win all of their games to guarantee a playoff spot and will not let Carolina stay in this game.

Pick: Bills

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins (-8.5)

The Dolphins have won five straight to put them in playoff contention. They are coming off of a bye and should be very prepared to take on the Jets. Look for Tua Tagovailoa to keep his hot streak going.

Pick: Dolphins

Washington Football Team at Philadelphia Eagles (-4.5)

Jalen Hurts is projected to be back for this game. The Eagles have played better than many expected this season, while Washington hasn’t. Hurts’ ability to run will make it too tough for Washington.

Pick: Eagles

Arizona Cardinals at Detroit Lions (-13.5)

Detroit might still have a win left in them this season, but it is very unlikely they can keep up with the Cardinals’ high-powered offense. Kyler Murray being back healthy will help the Cardinals cover the spread.

Pick: Cardinals

Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars (-2.5)

Two of the worst teams in the league happen to be in the AFC South. Both places are a mess right now, but the Jaguars have a more talented roster and should win at home.

Pick: Jaguars

Dallas Cowboys (-10.5) at New York Giants

Dallas has had a problem putting teams away in their games, but the Giants will give them the perfect opportunity to work on that. Dak Prescott should be able to clean up some of his recent mistakes and the Cowboys should cover.

Pick: Cowboys

Tennessee Titans (-2.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers

The Titans are starting to get more key players back into their lineup. Even without Derrick Henry, they should be able to outscore the Steelers, who seem to have trouble scoring unless they are in desperation mode.

Pick: Titans

Sunday Evening

Cincinnati Bengals at Denver Broncos (-1.5)

The last two weeks, the Bengals have shot themselves in the foot with turnovers and bad special teams. If they correct those mistakes, they should be able to win in Denver to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Pick: Bengals

Atlanta Falcons at San Francisco 49ers (-8.5)

Eight of the 49ers’ games this season have been decided by one possession. The Falcons should be able to keep it close, but the 49ers will run the ball and win by a touchdown in the end.

Pick: Falcons

Green Bay Packers (-4.5) at Baltimore Ravens

Green Bay is another team that is getting healthier as the season goes on, while Baltimore’s injuries just keep adding up. The Packers should win by a touchdown on the road.

Pick: Packers

Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams (-6.5)

It seems like the Rams are finally hitting their stride after defeating the Cardinals on Monday Night Football. They are loaded with talent, while the Seahawks are likely set for a rebuild this offseason. The only way the Seahawks can cover is if they let Russell Wilson cook, which is something they have been reluctant to do.

Pick: Rams

Sunday Night Football

New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-10.5)

New Orleans lost to Tampa Bay the first time around by nine. It should be a similar score this time, but the Saints now have Taysom Hill at quarterback, which helps them to control the clock. It will be a lower-scoring game in this one, which makes it less likely the Bucs cover the double-digit spread.

Pick: Saints

Monday Night Football

Minnesota Vikings (-3.5) at Chicago Bears

So far this season, 11 of the Vikings’ games have been decided by one possession. This game should be no different, as it is a rivalry. The Vikings will likely win by a field goal, but won’t cover.

Pick: Vikings
