One of the most unique and interesting aspects of TFT’s Rise of the Elements seasonal set are the four unique elemental board types. Each game, players are on either an Inferno, Cloud, Water or Mountain board, which each give their own unique buff to a unit on the highlight hexes.
The guide below is aimed at helping players master Inferno boards, which give units extra attack speed each round. These are the best items to use, the best champions and classes that comprise optimal compositions and general theory tips when playing a game on an Inferno board.
Best Single and Combined Items
Single Items
- B.F. Swords
- Repeating Crossbows
Combined Items
- Deathblade
- Guinsoo’s Rageblade
- Bloodthirster
Inferno boards allow teams to use their primary attacks much faster, meaning that items that can further help that process and allow these attacks to hir harder are the logical choice. With that in mind, look for B.F. Swords and Repeating Crossbows as building blocks for combined items like Deathblade, Guinsoo’s Rageblade and Bloodthirster. These, especially on Inferno hexes, are powerful choices to go with.
Best Champs, Classes and Compositions
Champions
- Olaf
- Vayne
- Nocturne
- Ashe
Compositions
- RangerÂ
- Berserker
- Inferno
- Poison
With strong and frequent auto attacks, units whose primary fire is their main means of dealing damage are solid options. This naturally favors champs like Olaf, Vayne and Nocturne.
Otherwise, generally, Rangers are strong options alongside Berserkers. Many Rangers are aided by increased attack speed and can be perfect candidates for backline hexes as the composition below demonstrates.
General Advice and Strategy
On Inferno boards, players should try to prefer units that do not rely on spell damage or being tanky in order to win. For backline hexes, Rangers are a clear choice, while Berserkers can thrive in the frontline. Outliers, however, could include things like a hyper-rolled Kog’Maw in a Predator build or a full Berserker build. This is the sort of board that shouldn’t hold players to one strict strategy, however, so use this guide as a starting point to help build the perfect overall composition.
Overall, these general principles should help improve games on Inferno boards, giving players a general direction with enough flexibility to pivot to other tactics when needed.
