Civilization’s next iteration is on its way. As with each new game in the franchise, there are many new and interesting additions. With that, there is a lot that players both new and old will need to learn about the game. Some of the new things that will need to be learned are what the platforms that Civ 7 will release on.
The Civ 7 Platforms on launch day will be PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

You will be able to play Civ 7 on Mac and Linux at launch as well. This should not be a major surprise as Mac support has been a part of Civilization games for the past two iterations as well.
Keep in mind that if you have a console that it will depend on which one you have based on how it will perform graphically. For example a Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 will have very different levels of graphics.
Because of this you will see that the Nintendo Switch will allow for less players and have smaller map sizes than what you may get on a PC. With the Nintendo Switch 2 releasing in 2025, it will be interesting to see if these limitations will remain.
It is generally believed that the Switch 2 will be able to handle significantly more than its predecessor. Whether that ends up happening is yet to be seen.
Lastly you should expect bugs on all systems to start. There will be patches so make sure to be on the lookout for those before getting too upset about playing the game.
