Although its an event that many saw coming due to the many leaks, Ashe’s Mardi Gras Challenge is now officially live on PC and console. The event is a sort of micro-event, only running from February 25 to March 9 and will allow players to unlock a new Epic Ashe skin, seen in the image above.
What’s Included
This event not only gives players the chance to win a new skin, but it also allows players to watch Overwatch streamers and earn sprays in the process. These sprays are also Mardi Gras themed, featuring several heroes from Overwatch. All in all, there are six unlockable Twitch drop sprays and four other cosmetic unlockables (two player icons, one spray, one skin).
No maps are altered for this event and there are no special arcade modes to accompany the new cosmetics. However, big changes are on the way. With hero pools coming to both Overwatch and the OWL in the coming weeks, along with the game’s 21st Competitive Season, there is a lot to be excited about in Overwatch in the near future.
Enjoy the event in the meantime and stay tuned for more from The Game Haus.
