Tannehill, 31, joined the Titans last year after being traded from Miami. He originally started the season on the bench, but when Marcus Mariota struggled, he was inserted into the starting lineup. Tannehill was able to lead the Titans from a 2-5 record all the way into the playoffs and then to the AFC Championship Game.
In his career, he has thrown for 23,176 yards, 145 touchdowns and 81 interceptions on 63.5 percent completion. He had career bests in yards per attempt and yards per completion with the Titans this season.
The Titans can now franchise running back Derrick Henry to keep their dynamic duo from last season together.
