Flores took over a rebuilding Dolphins team in 2019. After notching five wins in his first season, he led the team to a 10-6 record in his second season as head coach. For the 2021 season, the Dolphins went 9-8 to bring his record with the team up to 24-25.
Although he never made the playoffs with the Dolphins, Flores helped put the Dolphins in contention over the last two seasons. That is no small feat considering the team was trying to rebuild their roster.
The Dolphins have announced that general manager Chris Grier will keep his job. Miami’s next head coach will be tasked with improving the offensive line play in front of the encouraging play of young quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
