The Seattle Seahawks are signing Adrian Peterson to their practice squad. The details of the deal are yet unknown, but given his veteran status, a veteran minimum may be the most likely contract. This is Peterson’s second team in 2021.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.

Peterson is one of the most prolific running backs in the history of the NFL. Since he entered the league with the Vikings, he has won an MVP, been selected to the Pro Bowl seven times, led the NFL in rushing yards three times and rushing touchdowns twice.
The 36-year-old was previously a member of the Tennessee Titans in 2021 for three games. He was waived on November 23, allowing the Seahawks to sign him. Seattle running back Chris Carson had his season ended by an injury, meaning Alex Collins is the lead back. Peterson adds depth to the running back room to the 3-8 Seahawks team.
