Alchemy is the latest format to hit Magic Arena, and spoilers are already heading towards players. On this week’s Weekly MTG, the Magic Arena team unveiled several new cards that will be featured in Alchemy: Innistrad packs. Players can get their hands on the latest format, and all the cards that come with it, next week on Thursday December 9.
Here are the latest cards revealed for Alchemy: Innistrad.
Captain Eberhart
Absorb Energy
The keyword “perpetual” makes a return for the new Alchemy format. Several cards feature this keyword in brand new ways. Perpetually appears to be a keyword that will appear in all colors.
Geistchanneler
Patient Zero
Toralf’s Disciple
Along with “perpetual”, “Conjure” is back again for Alchemy. Conjure creates a completely new card that was not originally in the players deck. In this case, Toralf’s Disciple will conjure cards directly into a player’s library. This is the first time a card will be conjured into a library, and not directly into their hand.
Ishkanah, Broodmother
Ishkanah features a new mechanic called “draft”. Draft works in a similar way to Davriel, Soul Broker where a player is offered a few options to choose from. Ishkanah has a spellbook that contains fifteen previously-printed cards, that a player can select. A player will only be offered three cards at a time. Below are the cards that will be potentially offered to players.
- Twin-Silk Spider
- Drider
- Brood Weaver
- Glowstone Recluse
- Gnottvold Recluse
- Hatchery Spider
- Netcaster Spider
- Sentinel Spider
- Snarespinner
- Sporecap Spider
- Spidery Grasp
- Spider Spawning
- Prey Upon
- Arachnoform
