The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2024 Frisco Bowl.
Memphis Tigers Draft Prospects
Roc Taylor, WR
Taylor is in his fourth season playing for the Tigers and has improved immensely throughout his career. After not producing a ton in his first two years on campus, he has really broken out these past two seasons. This season, he has hauled in 61 passes for 834 yards and two touchdowns.
At 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, Taylor has great size for a wide receiver hoping to go pro. He has solid speed as well, but can improve his route-running to help his draft stock. His production and tools will likely get him drafted.
Projected Draft Range: 6th Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
Mario Anderson, RB
Anderson spent the first three seasons of his college career at Newberry College at the DII level. He then moved up to DI with the South Carolina Gamecocks in 2023, where he played well. For the 2024 season, Anderson transferred to Memphis. With the Tigers, he totaled 1,292 rushing yards, 290 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns.
While he is a little short at 5-foot-9, he is well-built at 209 pounds. He showed excellent contact balance this season, breaking right through tackles. Anderson also has experience as a receiver and was able to display a little bit of that this season.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
Other Draft Prospects: QB Seth Henigan (6th-UFA), RB Brandon Thomas (UFA), LB Chandler Martin (UFA)
West Virginia Mountaineers Draft Prospects
Wyatt Milum, OT
Milum got started early in his college career for West Virginia. He started eight games at right tackle as a freshman and was named a Freshman All-American. Milum moved to left tackle for his sophomore season in 2022. In 2023, he was a Second Team All-Big 12 selection. He was named Big 12 offensive lineman of the year in the Big 12 in 2024.
At 6-foot-6 and 317 pounds, Milum has solid size for the position. He has good strength and the ability to anchor in pass protection. Milum is a decent athlete, but can struggle to move laterally at times. He can also be too upright and loses leverage. He has had a solid college career and should be selected relatively early in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Projected Draft Range: Second Round Pick-Third Round Pick
Kole Taylor, TE
Taylor played three seasons for LSU before transferring to West Virginia for the last two seasons. He had 35 catches for 444 yards and four touchdowns in 2023. This season, he has caught 39 passes for 404 yards and three touchdowns.
At 6-foot-7 and 255 pounds, Taylor has solid size for the NFL, although he could fill out his frame a bit more. He is a matchup problem given his size and has a big catch radius. Taylor has great production for college tight end.
Projected Draft Range: Fourth Round Pick-Sixth Round Pick
Other Draft Prospects: EDGE Sean Martin (5th-7th), S Aubrey Burks (5th-7th), CB Jacolby Spells (6th-UFA), RB C.J. Donaldson (6th-UFA), DL Asani Redwood (UFA), LB Reid Carrico (UFA), WR Jayden Bray (UFA), EDGE Ty French (UFA), QB Garrett Greene (UFA)
