Hood was traded from the Cavaliers to the Trail Blazers last season and averaged 9.6 points per game for his new team. He will be a key role player as the Blazers try to advance far in the Western Conference Players yet again.
The Trail Blazers lost Evan Turner and reportedly Al-Farouq Aminu, so they needed to bolster the forward position. They received Kent Bazemore in the trade that sent Turner to Atlanta. Now they can feel comfortable at the position because they retained Hood as well.
