Analysis
As a whole, the game is still a pretty solid experience. The mechanics are great, with amazing implementation of preexisting legends. And though it’s only been a couple of days, EA announced Apex Legends Mobile will gain access to exclusive Legends. In other words, the mobile version will have playable Legends that do not exist in the PC parent. This bodes quite well for the game’s longevity, since it stands out among the preexisting PC to Mobile games, such as Wild Rift.
But as progression goes, that’s the biggest plus. As previously mentioned before, hacks plague the game. The details of the hacks won’t be discussed here, as in regards to which hacks and cheats are pervasive. Please do not use cheats, the system will eventually be updated to detect and punish unfair play eventually. Key word, eventually. The mobile game, as of now, lacks the detection to properly identify hacks. This results in the highest ranks being dominated by literal hackers.
In a competitive game, with potential to become an esport, allowing hacking is absolutely terrible. Of course, the developers will address the issue in due time. But for those attempting to climb the ranked ladder right now, the presence of these cheaters makes the game incredibly tedious to play.
Also, the ranked system point allegation in the higher ranks seem a little odd. Taking aware an excessive amount of points for a quick loss, while hardly rewarding a 12 kill pop off, the system is definitely in need of some fine tuning.
In Conclusion
The statement of exclusive Legends in Apex Legends Mobile is a great step in the right direction. But moreso than new Legends, the game needs to address the rampant hackers who have been destroying the ranked experience for everyone else. Especially considering the game is quite new, hopefully the developers will prove their commitment to their newest installment. The next couple of weeks for the game serve essential to communicating to the Apex Legends Mobile community.
