The Madison Square Garden Company and Counter Logic Gaming announced their partnership with FILA, a South Korean-owned sporting goods company. As CLG Fortnite’s Official Apparel Partner, FILA’s products will be featured throughout the inaugural Fortnite World Cup. CLG Fortnite’s Twitch streams and Twitter feeds will also featured branding from FILA.
“This marks FILA’s first foray into esports, a space that continues to experience tremendous growth,” said Kelly Funke, SVP of Marketing at FILA North America. “The partnership with Counter Logic Gaming allows us to connect with a community of incredibly loyal fans, participate in an epic esports event like the Fortnite World Cup, and align with a diverse team of gamers who share our commitment to creativity, passion and performance.”
CLG entered the Fortnite scene in August 2018. Currently, the organization fields a roster including Marksman, WishYouLuckk, Chrispy, Dafps and Psalm. CLG Psalm qualified for the World Cup Finals in Week 3 of the qualifiers. He plays July 26-28th for a shot at the $30 million prize pool. The broader CLG brand already holds several sponsorships. They include Twitch, Newegg, Omen by HP, Mountain Dew Gamefuel, Squarespace, Spectrum, Flexfit and Legendary Builds.
