The 2025 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Jalen Milroe NFL Draft Profile.
Position: Quarterback
School: Alabama
Size: 6-foot-2, 225 pounds

Milroe was a four-star recruit, who signed with Alabama in 2021. He was the backup in his first two seasons at Alabama. In 2023, he battled for and won the starting quarterback job for the Crimson Tide. He totaled 2,834 passing yards, 531 rushing yards and 35 total touchdowns. His play led the team to the CFP, but they lost in the semifinals. For the 2024 season, Milroe accounted for 2,844 passing yards, 726 rushing yards and 36 total touchdowns. He helped the Crimson Tide win nine games.
Following a good career at Alabama, Milroe suited up for the bowl game and then declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Milroe is an elite athlete for the quarterback position. He is one of the rare quarterbacks who won’t look out of place with other athletes on the field. Milroe has good quickness and speed to create big plays with his legs. He is elusive in the open field as well. His dual-threat abilities set him apart from other quarterbacks in this draft class. He can escape pressure and make plays out of structure.
His size is also good for an NFL quarterback. He is listed at 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds and looks every bit of it. Even though his height falls below prototypical NFL standards, he has a well-built frame. His play strength allows him to take plenty of hits, which is good for his career, as he runs the ball a lot.
He has one of the stronger arms in the class. Milroe is able to push the ball downfield with ease, helping to stretch defenses vertically. More importantly, he can fit the football into tight windows by putting a lot of velocity on his passes. He can throw from the pocket to outside the numbers and get the ball out their quickly.
Milroe’s accuracy and touch are inconsistent at best. He misses on throws to the short and intermediate areas of the field that should be made with relative ease. His accuracy improves downfield, but he still has some issues there as well. On short throws that he makes, there are times when he could put more touch on his passes to make them more catchable. Fixing his mechanics could make him more accurate.
He needs to go through his progressions more. Milroe can lock in on his primary receiver and stare them down. He makes up his mind before the snap that he will throw to them and indicates that, giving the defense time to react. If he reads the full field, he will see more receivers open.
His decision-making could also improve. He sometimes has too much faith in his arm to put the ball in tight windows, but actually puts it into harm’s way. Milroe can lose sight of safeties and linebackers, allowing them to make plays on the ball as well. Protecting the football could do wonders, as he has the ability to make big plays.
