The Los Angeles Gladiators have announced that they have signed Dante “Danteh” Cruz from free agency. According to head coach Sam “face” Merewether, Danteh will be playing Main Tank for the 2023 season. He most recently played for the Houston Outlaws where he played both Tank and DPS characters
Danteh helped lead the way for the Houston Outlaws to reach their farthest postseason placement they ever have as a franchise. They finished with a record of 16-8 and a 3rd place finish in the postseason. The former DPS player has shown not only tremendous flexibility but insane proficiency in the tank role ever since he committed to the role swap. He is arguably the best Western tank player in the League at this point. It’s safe to say the Gladiators have a great leader for the front lines for the 2023 season.
With the addition of Danteh, the Gladiators seem to be leaning more towards a majority Western roster for the upcoming season. Between returning members like Daniel “FunnyAstro” Hathaway and Kevin “kevster” Persson as well as a new addition in Mun “Lastro” Jung-won who has extensive experience with English coms. After a strong start with a weak finish, the Gladiators are looking to bounce back this season and win it all.
