Wild Rift Headhunter Caitlyn Preview

With their release in patch 2.5a, Wild Rift Caitlyn and Jayce received skins to celebrate their launch. Both skins, Wild Rift Headhunter Caitlyn and Jayce Brighthammer, are many years old on their PC iterations. Although nothing terribly fancy, the new skins are iconic in their own style.

Caitlyn’s skin drops simultaneously with the marksman’s debut. In other words, on  November 9 @ 00:01 UTC.  Sporting a largely black outfit, the skin is reminiscent of a bounty hunter aesthetic. With bright red lights highlighting the skin, Headhunter Caitlyn displays vibes that are an acquired taste.

Here is a gameplay preview for Caitlyn’s skin. Since no footage exists yet of Wild Rift’s iteration, this video link directs players to League of Legends’ original Headhunter Caitlyn.

The skin does not reanimate all of Caitlyn’s moves. Therefore, do not expect the price range to be too expensive on this particular skin. Seeing as how Wild Rift only ports the skins, rather than creating brand new animations, expect Headhunter Cailtyn on Wild Rift to mirror League of Legend’s.

Random fact, Headhunter Caitlyn is one of the sheriff’s oldest skins. Despite its age, the skin definitely still holds up. Although the animations are a little outdated, the futuristic bounty hunter aesthetic fits Caitlyn’s playstyle and overall cold personality very well. As Caitlyn’s very first Wild Rift skin, Headhunter Caitlyn’s debut marks great decision making on the Wild Rift’s art team. Rather than forcing an expensive legendary skin off the bat, Headhunter Caitlyn is a great, subtle yet unique skin to commemorate Cailtyn’s release.

In Conclusion

Arcane debuts rather soon. Without a doubt, Caitlyn and Jayce’s entrance into Wild Rift are related to the new netflix series. These skins definitely are not related, but who knows. Perhaps there will be Arcane inspired skins releasing in the future, similar to League of Legends. Keep a look out for the official release of Arcane. Chances are, there will be Arcane related events dropping nearing debut.
