Who the best player on FaZe is depends on several factors. The Atlanta FaZe sit at the number two spot in the Call of Duty league behind the Dallas Empire, and while they already have a chip under their belt, FaZe are just getting started in their quest to be the best team in the world.
Each member brings a unique flair to the superstar lineup and is capable of popping off at any point in the game. Atlanta, however, after a lengthy mid-season break, encountered minor hiccups these past few weeks. They finished second in CDL Dallas and lost to the Minnesota Røkkr for a disappointing third-place finish at CDL Los Angeles.
But, despite all the ups and downs the team has experienced, who is the best player on FaZe?
The answer lies with the tiny terrors.Â
Simp Puts on a Show at CDL Chicago
Based on sheer talent, Chris “Simp” Lehr has consistently proven to be a standout player in the Call of Duty community. Whether he is dropping 50 bombs against the league’s best or clutching up 1v2s in round 11’s, Simp is the best player on FaZe. Looking at statistics acquired by Atlanta’s analyst Austin “EasyMac” O’Neil, Simp put up MVP worthy numbers almost every game he played in at CDL Chicago. He is calculated and consistent and will be at the forefront of most of Atlanta’s victories if they can go the distance at CDL Florida.Â
If one was to rank Simp’s performance, he would sit around an A to A+. Same with his teammates. All perform at around a B+ to A range as defined in Atlanta FaZe: A New Way to Lead.
MajorManiak and Cellium Swap Roles After a Disappointing Placement
In recent weeks, there was a role change among the all-star roster. Michael “MajorManiak” Syzmaniak moved to flex while McArthur “Cellium” Jovel moved to main AR. The role change comes after their first season loss at CDL Los Angeles, where they finished third behind Minnesota and Dallas. Following a lengthy break, Atlanta FaZe was back and better than ever just in time for CDL Chicago. Unfortunately, they bowed out at second place at CDL Chicago, but look ahead to CDL Florida, from May 8-10, where they will face Paris Legion first thing Friday afternoon.Â
While the New York Subliners went the distance with FaZe in group play at CDL Chicago, CDL Florida will be Atlanta’s for the taking. They will have to go through the Minnesota Røkkr and the New York Subliners to secure their second championship, but if they continue on their path, they have a strong chance at victory. FaZe will have just under a week to prepare for the event and have stated that they are consistently trying to stay ahead of the curve. This includes staff behind the scenes as well, who work around the clock to make sure FaZe are performing at their best.
