Just a day after an embarrassing performance, the Tennessee Titans are cutting kicker Cairo Santos.
In a 14-7 loss against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Santos missed four field goals. The attempts came from 50, 36, 53 and 33-yards out. The only kick Santos completed was an extra point of the only touchdown his team scored on the day. With a total of 12 possible points missed out on in a seven-point loss, the Titans have seen enough to move on from the veteran.
NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero tweeted the news Monday afternoon.

So far this season, Santos has made 4 of 9 field-goal attempts and 12 of 12 on extra points. The six-year veteran is now a free agent after his release.
With Ryan Succop still on injury reserve, the Titans are expected to sign kicker Cody Parkey. Since the 2018 playoff loss with the Chicago Bears, Parkey has not played. As a result, this will serve as Parkey’s best attempt in redeeming his name as he is best known for missing a game-tying field goal in the playoffs.
