In celebration of the VCT Champions soon to be held in Turkey and the newest agent on the team, VALORANT is planning a contest in collaboration with WEBTOON starting on August 23. VALORANT is calling on fans to create their own rendition of the Fade agent trailer and audio logs that were found in-game prior to her release. Five winners will have a chance to shape the future of VALORANT, and ten of the top submissions will be showcased on WEBTOON due to winning the contest.

Key Dates
August 23 (9am EST) – September 18 (9pm EST): Entry period open for submissions.
September 19 – September 29: Entries will be revealed, and fans will be able to vote for their favorite.
October 5 – Contest ends with winners announced and a date for the winner’s meeting planned.
Submissions
WEBTOON is an online platform where amateur and professional artists can post their own comics to a dedicated community of readers. The contest will last from August 23 to September 18, giving comic-makers just over three weeks. Submissions can consist of single works of art or full comics, but comics shouldn’t be any longer than 20 panels, and should depict the sting operation where Team Valorant confronted Fade.
Judging will last until the end of September, when Riot Games and WEBTOON will create a panel of judges to score the submissions. Nine winners will be decided by the panel, and an additional “People’s Choice Winner” via fan vote. Of the nine winners, four will be named Grand Prize winners. The results will be announced on October 5. All ten of the selected comics will be featured on both WEBTOON and the official VALORANT page, with a spotlight for the artists’ socials.
Prizes
The four Grand Prize winners, along with the People’s Choice Winner, will be invited to a meeting with VALORANT’s Premium Content Team. They’ll have an opportunity to ask questions and will work to create a gun buddy for a future VALORANT battle pass. Presumably, these winners will be offered insight into behind-the-scenes content like the next Agent, battle pass, and more, although they’ll likely not be allowed to discuss it afterwards.
Criteria
An administrator will screen each entry before it can be submitted, to ensure that they properly fulfill the guidelines. Before a comic can reach the panel of judges, the administrator will score it using a system of 30% narrative, 30% originality, 20% creativity and 20% quality. The top 50 entries will move on to the judges, who will use the same scoring system to decide the top nine winners, with originality being used to decide a tie-breaker.
Artists are allowed a single submission each, and the submission form must be filled out in English.
