The last time McIlroy competed in the Open Championship, he emerged the victor. That was two years ago and an untainted left ankle ago but that doesn’t seem to be hindering him in the slightest. McIlroy won at the Irish Open earlier this year and has logged four top-five finishes over his past 10 events. McIlroy will be teeing off alongside Hideki Matsuyama and Bubba Watson at 4:36 AM EST.
