It was announced today that the Toronto Defiant will be bringing on former Paris Eternal Head Coach Félix “Féfé” Münch to be their Head Coach for the 2020 season. This comes only a short time after he was released from Paris, indicating the two parties have likely been trying to strike a deal for some time.
Please join us in welcoming Felix “Féfé” Munch as Defiant’s new Head Coach! @felxgg we’re excited for you to bring your leadership to our team and look forward to your guidance. We can’t wait to see what you and @jaeSW have planned for the #OWL2020 season. #RiseTogether pic.twitter.com/FOyEJ6Af8K

Féfé was the Player Development Coach with the Eternal before moving to the head coaching role, and prior to that was the Head Coach of EU Contenders team Eagle Gaming. Such a rich background of experience in EU could signal a more Western, and even a more EU, Toronto Defiant team in 2020 and beyond, especially considering the recent release of Jo “Yakpung” Gyeong-mu.
One thing is clear, the Defiant are looking to seriously rebuild this offseason as they head into 2020, making changes across the board looking to improve on their 2019 record of just 8-20.
As a reminder, all of the current offseason changes will be continuously updated in TGH’s Complete List of Overwatch League Offseason Moves.
