Following their 0-40 season one performance, and their decision to retain only three members of their season one roster, the Shanghai Dragons have just announced the signings of six Korean players for their season two campaign.
The Dragons welcome DPS Min-seong “diem” Bae, formally of Lucky Future Zenith Gaming, and Flex Joon-hwan “GuardiaN” Cho, formally of Toronto Esports. They also added the four previous members of Team Kongdoo Panthera: Flex DPS Yong-Jin “YOUNGJIN” Jin, Flex Jin-hyeok “DDing” Yang and Support players Seong-hyeon “Luffy” Yang and Son “CoMa” Kyung Woo.
These six additions will join DPS Weida “Diya” Lu, and the tank duo of Se-yeon “Geguri” Kim and Eui-Seok “Fearless” Lee.
The Dragons are in need of a spark entering season two with aspirations far beyond the organization’s first win. The addition of diem adds a potent DPS option the team has been looking for to pair with season one returnee, Diya. It will take some time for the team to register major synergy, as they will be starting a support duo that has yet to experience the competition of the Overwatch League. However, these editions will be fine assets to Shanghai’s season two roster. Shanghai fans rejoice and welcome your newest Dragons.
