The San Francisco Shock have been quiet this off-season. The only roster move so far has been to release Andreas “Nevix” Karlsson. Yet with their current 9-man lineup, they seemed content to go into 2020 with no further changes.
However, the team tweeted that their previous commitment to no more roster changes was no longer true, with an announcement video scheduled for 4:30 PM PST. The graphic in the tweet showed three letters generated randomly.
The video began with a Top 20 Widowmaker moments starring Seon-chang “ANS” Lee. ANS is a former Korean player who played on team BlossoM but retired in January of 2019. He is a sniper specialist on Widowmaker and Hanzo, but also played Genji.
We aren't trying to be AS GOOD as we were last year, we're aiming to be even BETTER! Please welcome @ansansniper__ to the Shock Family

It will be interesting to see what the Shock do with him, as they already had four DPS players, with ANS making five. With all the bases already covered in this role, who knows how coach Dae-hee “Crusty” Park will utilize this deep bench.
