Sources close to the team have told TGH that the Boston Uprising have acquired Off-Tank Thomas “Brussen” Brussen. The new Off-Tank joins the team coming off an impressive run with Team Netherlands in the Overwatch World Cup. While not officially announced by the Uprising, this was reported earlier by Arran “Halo” Brown.

Before coming to OWL, Brussen played off tank with EU Contenders team Young and Beautiful and more recently, Angry Titans. On his time with Angry Titans, Brussen worked with new Uprising coach Ilias “Ilka” Kaskanetas where the duo finished 5th in EU Contenders Season 2.
With Brussen’s experience in Contenders and the Overwatch World Cup, he brings plenty of on-stage experience to a relatively young team. This signing adds depth to the Off-Tank position while Boston waits for 2-way Off-Tank Walid “Mouffin” Bassal to develop a little more in Contenders.
This will be Boston’s 5th signing of a contenders player, alongside Mouffin, Gabriel “Swimmer” Levy, Min “Jerry” Tae-hee and Seo “Myunbong” Sang-min will all be joining the team. At the moment, this ties Atlanta with the most acquisitions from Contenders this offseason.
We will continue to give updates as more information comes forward.
