Lr1s (said like “Eris”) is a standout flex support player who has carved a path through the Overwatch scene. He most recently found success in NA Contenders with his team Third Impact.
He has certainly made an impact, becoming known for his mechanical skill on Zenyatta as he helped push Third Impact to a second-place finish in playoffs.
An acquisition at this time comes as no surprise, as Atlanta’s roster does have two players for nearly every position. Flex support Steven “Kodak” Rosenberger transitioned into a coaching position earlier this month, leaving the Reign with an opening.
Lr1s will give a hefty amount of competition to current starter Dusttin “Dogman” Bowerman, and potentially shake things up.
Atlanta has been consistently performing below expectations this season and will have to make some drastic improvements to finish strong. They are in dire need of a little Shake n Bake, as they have also recently lost DPS player Andrej “babybay” Francisty. However, it seems Joon “Erster” Jeong and Tae-hoon “Edison” Kim are more than capable of filling babybay’s stylish shoes.
Fans of the Reign can get to know their new team member in this recent interview on YouTube channel “TheLemonKiwi”.
