Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Michael Pierce has suffered a severe arm injury. In Week 3’s win, Pierce apparently tore his biceps, which may or may not keep him on the sideline for the rest of the season. More tests need to be conducted to decide whether or not the injury is season-ending.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
Pierce was signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent, and played in all 16 games that season. He played in Baltimore for four seasons before signing with the Minnesota Vikings. He did not appear as a Viking until 2021, due to opting out of the season due to COVID-19.
After starting the first four games of the season for the Vikings, he was placed on injured reserve. Pierce played in two more games before being released. The Ravens picked him up again, which has led to starts in all three games of the 2022 season. So far this year, he has a forced fumble and six combined tackles.
