The Los Angeles Rams are signing Eric Weddle for their 2022 playoff run. Weddle had previously announced his retirement from the NFL in February of 2020. He will return to the league after an injury to safety Jordan Fuller necessitated the Rams signing him.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.

Weddle was previously a Ram in 2019. He signed a two-year, $10.5 million contract with Los Angeles, retiring after that 2019 season, as stated above. This will be his second stint with the Rams. In his 13-year career, Weddle made First Team All-Pro twice, six Pro Bowls and was co-leader in interceptions in 2011.
He spent nine seasons with the (then) San Diego Chargers before joining the Baltimore Ravens in 2016, then the Rams in 2019. Weddle racked up 1,178 tackles and 29 interceptions from the safety position with eight forced fumbles and four defensive touchdowns.
