Super Bowl Picked Against the Spread
Kansas City Chiefs (-3) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The last time these two teams played this season, the Chiefs defeated the Buccaneers by three in Tampa Bay. Experts must think a similar game will happen, as the line has been set at -3. With Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes going at it, it should be another exciting game.
Tampa Bay is firing on all cylinders since their loss to the Chiefs, as they haven’t lost a game since. It’s going to take a Herculean effort to beat the Chiefs, but with Brady and his weapons it certainly is possible. The difference in this game might be what the Chiefs can do to take Brady’s weapons away from him.
In a game with two great quarterbacks, a defensive player is going to have to step up in this one. Tyrann Mathieu has been making big plays his whole career and that has continued in the playoffs. His ability to be aggressive and make plays on the ball can help slow down Brady.
If Mathieu can lead the Chiefs’ defense to a few stops, Mahomes will take care of the rest. Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce had great performances in the NFC Championship Game, so Mahomes will have all of his weapons ready to go. The Chiefs will need to cope with the loss of Eric Fisher, but they should be able to put up points still.
Pick: Chiefs
