The NFL Conference Championships are here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are the NFL Conference Championship Round picks against the spread. (Spreads are from tallysight.com as of Monday afternoon)
Last week: 4-0, Overall: 130–131-5
NFC Championship
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Green Bay Packers (-3.5)
The last time these two teams played, the Buccaneers dominated the Packers. This time it will be different. The first difference is that the game will be at Lambeau Field and the Buccaneers will have to play in the cold. Aaron Rodgers will be out for revenge for the regular season loss. The Packers’ biggest weakness is stopping the run, but the Buccaneers aren’t the team that are most equipped to take advantage of that weakness. The Packers will win a tight game, which may come down to a last second Rodgers’ touchdown pass.
Pick: Packers
AFC Championship
Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs (-3)
Fans got the AFC Championship game that they wanted. The Chiefs have the home-field advantage in this one and it looks like Patrick Mahomes will be healthy. They have only lost one game with Mahomes in the lineup this season. With their offense likely able to outscore the Bills, their defense just needs to come up with a few big plays. Tyrann Mathieu is fully capable of making those game-changing plays like he did in the Divisional Round.
Pick: Chiefs
