Robert Dowey Jr., best known for his role as Tony Stark a.k.a Ironman, gave the Pittsburgh Steelers a shout-out on social media cheering for a 9 game win streak.
The undefeated Steelers are gaining the nation’s attention, and more specifically yesterday, the attention of celebrities. Yesterday, defensive captain, Cam Heyward, posted a video to his Instagram, where Robert Dowey Jr. gave the Steelers a shout-out.
The video showed Dowey Jr. telling the Steelers to defeat the Cinitanita Bengals in today’s game.
“Mr. Heyward, Cam. It’s about freaking time buddy, and I believe that Ironhead is going to need an Iron hand so this is coming to your way brother. Thank you, love you, go Steelers, numero uno for freaking ever. Boom boom,” the former Avenger said in the video. Downey Jr. is best known for his role as Ironman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
Dowey Jr. appeared in nine MCU movies and set to appear in the upcoming Black Widow movie, as a cameo.
Heyward said that he’s, “glad to know Ironman is a Steelers fan.”
Big Ben Back in Action
Bad news greeted Steeler fans after The Steelers announced Ben “Big Ben” Roethlisberger was put on the COVID-19 reserves list earlier this week.
However, yesterday morning, the Steelers announced they expect Roethlisberger to play in today’s game, to fans of the Steelers relief.
Had Roethlisberger been out for today’s game, Maso Rudolph would return to the field as the Steelers quarterback.
Last year, Rudolph’s performance as the quarterback disappointed fans and coaching staff alike, which led to the decision to put in Devin “Duck” Hodges as the starter, for the remainder of the 2019 season.
The Steelers play the Bengals at home today at 4:25 pm eastern time
