1. Cam Ward, QB, Miami Hurricanes
Miami suffered their second loss of the season against Syracuse. It was a high scoring affair, that saw the Hurricanes score 38 points. They got a great effort out of Cam Ward. He finished the game 25/36 passing for 349 yards and two touchdown with no interceptions. He also added 19 rushing yards.
Ward didn’t make critical mistakes that led to turnovers in this game, which has been a weakness for him. He showed off his ability to extend plays and his arm talent in this game. His good season should end with him being a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
2. Nick Singleton, RB, Penn State Nittany Lions
Penn State won their game against Maryland pretty easily after a slow start. They will now play in the Big Ten Championship Game. Their offense really stepped it up after some early struggles. Nick Singleton had a big game, finishing with 13 carries for 87 yards and two touchdowns. He also had three catches for 17 yards.
Singleton showed off his solid vision and his good receiving ability in this game. His upright running style and injuries this season could raise some concerns, but he has plenty of talent. He will be one of many running backs considered in the first several rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft.
3. Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State Buckeyes
Ohio State lost their fourth straight game to Michigan this weekend. Their explosive offense was held in check. They scored just 10 points. While the quarterback play was off, Emeka Egbuka did the best he could. He finished the game with four receptions for 51 yards.
Egbuka’s stock likely won’t take a hit because of this game. He has still shown the ability to run good routes and to block. While he may not have the pure athleticism to be an elite NFL receiver, he can be a good contributor for years. He currently is projected to be selected in the first few rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft.
4. Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan Wolverines
Michigan ended up pulling off the upset over Ohio State, even without much contribution from the offense. The impressive thing about the win for Michigan is that Loveland didn’t play. He had an undisclosed injury that forced him to leave Michigan’s game against Northwestern.
Loveland has been unusually productive for a college tight end. He is a solid athlete who can create mismatches with defenders. Loveland is in the running to be the first tight end taken in the 2025 NFL Draft.
5. Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina Tar Heels
North Carolina had a tough loss in Mack Brown’s final game. That wasn’t the fault of the offense or Hampton, who both had solid outings. He finished the game with 22 carries for 185 yards and one touchdown. Hampton also had four catches for 65 yards and a touchdown.
Hampton, like Singelton, will be considered in the first few rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft. He has solid size and speed, which helped him create big plays in this game. While he isn’t the most elusive back, he can be hard to tackle because of the combination of size and speed.
