The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed wide receiver John Brown to their practice squad. If elevated to the active roster, he would be able to participate in the Buccaneers’ playoff run, which begins on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.

Brown was drafted in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. He played for the Cardinals, Ravens and Bills during the first seven years of his career, before bouncing around to the Broncos and Jaguars during the 2021 season. In his career, he has 320 receptions for 4,748 yards and 31 receiving touchdowns.
The Buccaneers recently lost Chris Godwin to a torn ACL and Antonio Brown to an abrupt and tumultuous exit. Leonard Fournette is also banged up, along with Lavonte David. Tampa is experiencing injuries at the worst time. They will now try to mitigate their receiver losses with John Brown.
