The 49ers will be without some key players in Week 13 against the Seattle Seahawks. Wide receiver Deebo Samuel will be out with a groin injury, running back Trey Sermon has an ankle injury and defensive lineman Maurice Hurst is dealing with a calf injury.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter on Friday afternoon.
49ers ruled out WR Deebo Samuel (groin), RB Trey Sermon (ankle) and DL Maurice Hurst (calf) for Sunday’s game in Seattle.

This will be Samuel’s first missed game of the 2021 season. A groin injury he suffered in Week 12 was apparently serious enough to keep him off the field in an important divisional matchup, after being questionable to doubtful all week.
Rookie Trey Sermon has played in nine games, starting in only two this year. He has 167 rushing yards and one touchdown on 41 attempts. He has been less effective in the passing game, with 26 yards on three receptions and zero touchdowns. Hurst has just two combined tackles in 41 defensive snaps on the 2021 season.
