Leonard, 28, averaged 6.1 points and 5.1 rebounds off the bench for the Heat last season. It was his first season with the team after he had played the first seven years of his career with the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Heat are trying to keep their team together after winning the East last season. Leonard will compete for playing time as a reserve with newly drafted Precious Achiuwa.
