Teague, 32, has averaged 10.9 points and 5.8 assists per game in his career. He has played for three NBA teams in his 11-year career. Over the last two seasons, he has specialized in coming off of the bench for the Timberwolves and Hawks.
Boston was in the market for a backup point guard this offseason and that need intensified after Brad Wanamaker left in free agency. Teague will be able to give breaks to Kemba Walker when needed.
