[Has Been Edited After the Release of “The Baddest”]
[Serpahine has been confirmed to be doing a collaboration on the new KDA Album]
[Seraphine has been confirmed as the next League of Legends Champion]
Who is Seraphine? This is a question that has been asked many times in recent days. This is because a twitter account was made back in June of 2020 for what seems to be a fictional, animated character. She seems to be out in the real world but is in a style similar to how League of Legends animates their character.
This has led many to believe that she might be a new champion coming after Samira. The next question inevitably becomes, what type of champion would Seraphine be?
By looking at her twitter posts, it looks as though she will be a musical champion that is also somehow connected to the ocean or waves. Here are some reasons why this might be the case.
Music and Seraphine
On Thursday. 8/20, Riot Games revealed that KDA would be coming out with a new single called, “The Baddest. It was on this day that many realized that the Seraphine twitter account existed. This felt like a likely coincidence and then, Seraphine released a cover of “Pop Stars” by KDA only two days later.

If this was not enough evidence that she was at least associated with League of Legends, someone leaked the picture below.
While this picture was leaked and has not yet been confirmed by Riot Games or the League of Legends team, many believe that this proves that Seraphine is not only a member of KDA but a champion. She fits the style of how Riot animates their champions and this picture is either an extremely well-done fan post or the real thing.
There is also the chance that this is completely fan-made. The first song KDA released on their new EP, “The Baddest” did not have Seraphine on it or in it at all. It is possible that she comes in the album later or as a guest on a certain song. This definitely makes it possible that she is just an animated account and has nothing to do with Riot Games.
Water and Seraphine
Water has been a part of the Seraphine character since her twitter started. She has a wave in her handle and posts plenty of pictures of her on the beach and at places like the aquarium. This has made many posit that she might be a water-associated champion. Below are a few examples as evidence to back this claim up.

In case it wasn’t clear, Seraphine and the ocean go along swimmingly. But in all seriousness, many believe that this is pointing to her using water in most if not all of her abilities. She would be similar to Nami in this regard and may be in many ways as she mentions waiting to be a mermaid.
Last Thoughts
Even after not being in “The Baddest” there is still a good chance that she could be a part of KDA. Only a day before “The Baddest” is supposed to be released, Seraphine tweeted, “some things in life are worth waiting for” with a smiley face attached.

While she is not wearing any KDA attire from the previous picture, she is wearing similar colors and clearly hinting that something is coming.
If she ends up not becoming a champion or at least the fifth member of KDA it would be quite the campaign someone has led the League of Legends fan base. Not to mention, Riot Game seemingly letting it happen considering they have been silent about her existence and connections since the very beginning.
What do you think? Is she the next League of Legends champion?
