The League of Legends team has stated that they are going to continue to make and bring back game modes. It is something that has been lacking in the League of Legends community for quite some time. That being said, Nexus Blitz was released a few years ago and has barely been seen again after fans have been begging for it. Now, the question becomes, when is Nexus Blitz coming back? Here is the 2023 Update.

When is Nexus Blitz Coming Back?
It was announced in the middle of 2023 that Nexus Blitz was still being worked on but the developers knew that fans wanted it back. They admitted that the game mode would be coming back soon. This was mainly thanks to an accidental publishing of the game mode to the live server. Now it is all but confirmed that Nexus Blitz will be coming back with League of Legends Patch 13.20 during Worlds which is October 11, 2023 with it being on the PBE with Patch 13.19 on September 26, 2023.
Nexus Blitz Release Date Likely Leaked
Below is a leak from known leaker, Big Bad Bear.
It is fairly obvious that the most popular game mode outside of Summoners Rift is returning very soon. This should have fans very excited as it will probably be live for at least all of Worlds and potentially through the end of the year.
Extra Information
What makes this part of League of Legends so much fun is the different mini-games within Nexus Blitz itself. The different abilities as well. One to shoot a player out of a cannon, ride a cart into the opposing team and the ring of death.
It amounts to constant fighting and still has minions and towers similar to the main Rift mode. Players get something that is similar enough to a regular game of League but it is action-packed and finishes in about 10 minutes.
It is clear that fans are hoping it will one day become a mainstay like ARAM. While that still seems far off, there is no doubt that the League of Legends team is strongly considering it as they put more time into new game modes.
