These moves are not all too shocking considering the plans laid out by Golden Guardians in 2021. The idea was to develop for the future. Unfortunately, it seems only like Ablazeolive will be returning. Ablazeolive was considered by many to be the best native NA Mid Laner in the LCS last year. He was even deeply in contention for Rookie of the Year, but barely got outshined by Danny. Thanks to this great year, Ablazeolive returning was a safe bet.
Licorice on the other hand was acquired late in the year from Flyquest. Golden Guardians stated at the time how they wanted to build around him for the future. Naturally, him returning is just another step in this process.
Rest of The Roster:
At the time of writing, nothing has been confirmed, but there are creditable rumors. Milo “Pridestalkr” Wehnes, who some may remember from Schalke 04, is the next Jungler according to Upcomer. Furthermore, Olleh has also been reported to be the new Support. Lost is also rumored to be the new ADC, but this is still up in the air. All in all, the rest of Golden Guardians roster is shaping up nicely.
