With the League of Legends Season 13 end date coming closer to the end of the year, people are already going to start wondering, when does Season 14 of
League of Legends
begin? This means a new chance at increasing one’s rank along with a slew of new great content. A lot will be changing with the next LoL Ranked Season. Here is a look at the League of Legends Season 14 start date and time.
The League of Legends Season 14 Start Date should be January 10, 2024. There is a chance it is the week before that on January 3, 2024 as well.
When looking for when the season starts, it is generally easy enough if one looks at the seasons before. It is almost always about a month after the last patch of the year. Generally, this last patch is right around the beginning of December. This year, patch 13.24 will be released on December 6.
It is still a bit far away to confirm this but all signs are pointing to this being the start date with how methodical the League of Legends team is.

League of Legends Map Changes
LoL Top Lane Changes
The top lane has further bushes placed — which means it’ll be harder to spam lane ganks from now on. There’s still the same tri bush, but the bush leading into the river is further away. Therefore, top laners will be able to see junglers from closer without the need to ward it immediately. The bush is also far smaller, and not connected to vulnerable sections of sight.
This has massive implications for the meta. A common technique, especially in solo queue, is to spam gank a lane after it succeeds the first time. But since the bushes leading into the top lane are now blocked off by terrain or right next to the turret, this provides far more safety as a whole. Junglers will have to plan ganks far more effectively from now on, instead of simply bush camping.
LoL Mid Lane Changes
The mid lane changes are more symmetrical now. Before, the bottom bush had far more precedence due to the ease of ganking upwards from the dragon side river. Combine this with roaming supports, and castor mages had little to no chance of surviving a gank.
This makes mobility less essential, since similar to the top lane, the bush is positioned further down rather than right next to the lane. Therefore, casters can be safer. Champions won’t need a dash at all times to outplay ganks.
LoL Bot Lane Changes
Getting ganked by a four man in the bot lane is far too common of an occurrence. They seemingly come out of nowhere all the time — but the new changes attempt to prevent this. The biggest change is definitely the river bush. Instead of it reaching out into the river, it’s just in the smack middle of the river. It’s also far smaller, meaning it’s a little bit useless to hide in. This means ganks, as with the top lane, ganks should be far easier to see coming in the bot lane. I
In addition, the blue side of the bot lane does seem to have a nice branching path into the lane now. This is likely to compensate for the lack of a ganking path — since the bush was trimmed down by the gardeners. Since the red side still has the tri-brush, it seems largely the sam
League of Legends Season 13 Changes
The biggest additions to League of Legends Season 13 was the addition of the Chemtech Drake after being reworked along with some item changes. Specifically for mages, top lane tanks and then major changes in the bot lane to ADCs. Along with this the midseason event introduced Arena as a new mode and is one that many are hoping will become a permanent game mode like Summoners Rift and ARAM.
This was also the first season to have the ranked season be split into two sections. The first ended right around when the midseason event started which is July 20 with the second beginning shortly after it. This is certainly new and something that may end up becoming the norm for ranked League of Legends.
