After some time, Akshan has been confirmed as the next League of Legends champion through a Riot press release as well as through some other more interesting means. This comes after speculation from a Wild Rift leak that seemed to confirm some aspects of the next major event. Whether this will be the end of the Viego story or not is yet to be known but it definitely seems like the next part of the story. Here is a quick look at Akshan as the next League of Legends champion.

In an interesting puzzle that came out on the League of Legends website fans were given the opportunity to try and see what was at the end. Akshan was officially confirmed as the new champion once this puzzle came to its conclusion. Fans had to put in the last password and the password was Akshan. This revealed a massive promotional graphic for the next event in the Viego Ruination story.
This also revealed who would be fighting with Senna and Lucian against Viego. Fans also got their first look at Akshan “The Lost Sentinel”. While his abilities and different skins are not known just yet, there is no doubt that they will likely officially be revealed very soon. This Rise of the Sentinels event will run throughout all of the Riot Games franchises which will be a first in the companies history.
To say this is a major event is an understatement. Combining all five games in the Riot Games library will certainly be something to behold.
