Everyone loves watching the Pokémon anime as much as they enjoy playing the games. That’s why it is sad to announce the end of Pokémon TV. This article will go over specific details on the app’s closure.
On March 28, the Pokémon Company International pulled the Pokémon TV app from service. Pokémon TV was the Pokémon equivalent of Boomerang for Cartoon Network. By signing up, players can access all main and side Pokémon animated content for viewing. It had everything from Kanto to Journeys.
According to Nintendo Life, it has been pulled from every device and platform. This includes the “Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Smart TVs.” Whenever players try to bring the app up, they will get an error code.
Players can find animated content for Pokémon in a myriad of ways. Netflix has a handful of Pokémon series from the Indigo League to the new Horizons anime. Side shorts such as Generations, Evolutions, and Paldean Winds, can be found on Youtube for free.
Players can also search Amazon for box sets of Ash’s adventures if they prefer physical DVDs over streaming. The reason the company discontinued Pokémon TV is because the app or hosting service they used (Limelight Network/Endigo) was becoming too expensive to maintain.
While this is sad, perhaps they’ll make a new specific service for Pokémon fans. In the meantime, keep enjoying other means to see the anime, viewers.
This is all the info the Game Haus has on the End of Pokémon TV. This app is a staple of the Pokémon community and it is sad to see it die. However, players can still enjoy both the anime and games in a surplus of ways. Be sure to also check out the new Pokémon Horizons anime on Netflix.
Have a blessed day, trainers.
