Trainers, hopefully, everyone is having pleasant dreams. Pokémon Sleep has been out for a bit and it’s an interesting mobile game, to say the least. Along with GO and Smile, one could see this as another part of Pokémon’s agenda to promote good health. Just like in other games, except maybe Smile, people can encounter shiny Pokémon in their sleep. This piece will go over how to do this.
Those who have played Pokémon Sleep have learned that it’s more of a Snorlax-gotchi than just a sleep-tracking app. Players can help take care of Snorlax, cook meals, basically, Snorlax is their starter. And just like in the mainline games, players can find shiny Pokemon to draw into their camp.
They are incredibly rare, but there are things players can do to raise the odds of encountering them.
The first way to do this is to cook meals for Snorlax consistently. This will help increase the amount of Pokémon that show up at the camp. Players must give Snolrax all 3 meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This can also be done by collecting berries to increase Snorlax’s strength. Compose teams of Pokémon to go out and bring berries back to Snorlax.
Lastly, players will need to get a sufficient amount of sleep each night. Getting more sleep will raise a player’s sleep score. And the higher that is, the higher the likelihood and number of Pokémon showing up will get. Increasing the sleep score will also increase the chances of encountering shinies.
Some players may be asking “what Pokémon can be shiny?” The answer is: all of them. There are 104 available species of Pokémon in Pokémon Sleep and every one of them can be shiny. Apparently, the Snorlax helper can also be shiny but will leave after a set amount of time. However, any Pokémon that shows up, Pikachu, Squirtle, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Eevee, etc; can be shiny.
This is how players can get shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Sleep. Shinies are a fun part of any Pokémon experience. And for shiny hunters alike, what’s better than getting them in their sleep? Sleep as comfortably as possible, trainers, and reel in those shinies.
