Per Wojnarowski, the Grizzlies will waive or trade Howard. Howard, 33, only played nine games last season, but averaged 12.8 points and 9.2 rebounds for the Wizards.
C.J. Miles, 32, averaged 6.2 points and shot 33 percent from deep last season for the Grizzlies. He will provide the Wizards with outside shooting to space the floor.
