After a tough two loss week against C9 and CLG, Clutch looks to bounce back for a spot in the playoffs. However, during Week 6 two teams stand in their way: TSM and Optic Gaming. Preview CG’s upcoming matches and how they’ll match up against their opponents below!
Day 1: TSM (6-4)
Clutch suffered a heartbreaking loss against TSM during Week 3 of the LCS Summer Split. Cody “Cody Sun” Sun and Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme were unable to create an early lead for their team due to TSM’s highly aggressive botlane combo of Lux and Caitlyn. Furthermore, TSM’s aggressive play across the rift proved to be too much for CG.
Furthermore, TSM are statistically a better team than CG in both KDA and gold per minute. However, all hope is not loss for Clutch fans. This Clutch team has proven themselves against TSM in the past. Such as, Tanner “Damonte” Damonte’s incredible Akali performance against Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg during the spring split.

Cody Sun
Cody Sun has been the shining star of CG. He ranks in the top 15 in gold per minute and his success in the bot lane is key for Clutch. In addition, he is a huge damage dealer, also ranking in the top 15 for most damage per minute. If Clutch wants to find any success during their matchup with TSM they have to build their draft around Cody Sun. In addition, their draft must prevent TSM from having a strong laning phase so Cody Sun can gain an easy lead in the early game.
Day 2: Optic Gaming (6-4)
Optic Gaming have been the unexpected break out team for the summer split. Optic’s midlaner, Lee “Crown” Min-ho has been solid and is statistically one of the best players in the league. Crown ranks in the top 5 in both CS per minute and gold per minute. This gives his team massive leads that they can easily snowball from. In addition, Optic’s ADC, Noh “Arrow” Dog-hyeon is one of the most dominant ADC’s in the LCS and has the 5th highest overall KDA in the league.
However, Clutch has shown a more proactive playstyle since their match against Optic during week 1. CG now favors taking 50/50 team fights and even 3 v 5 team fights where they come out on top. If Clutch plays more proactively and doesn’t allow Optic to gain neutral objectives without a fight they could come out with a win on Sunday.

Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon
Keep an eye out for Huni in the top lane with his matchup against Niship “Dhokla” Doshi. Statistically, Huni ranks in the top 5 for damage per minute for top laners. If Huni can play his signature champion, Rumble, or get another great game on Irelia, Clutch can snowball their lead in the top lane and pull out a victory against Optic.
