The College Call of Duty league is back for its second term. Its introductory season was seen as a success by the collegiate community and they look to make things bigger and better for Season One. The tournament returns offering past participants redemption and new participants a shot at the title. Reigning champions and favorites Georgia Southern look to reestablish their dominance from Season Zero heading into the new season.

The preseason for Season One begins with two 2k tournaments. These tournaments give you a number of points based on your placing. Seeding for the regular season will be based on the number of points gained by the participating universities.
Point Distribution:
The regular season will split all participating universities into two groups, Division A and Division B. From these divisions, the top three teams will automatically qualify for the playoffs.
The GSL Last Chance Qualification will slot in the fourth and fifth seed from both divisions. From these four participating teams, only two would make it out.

The top three seeds from each division will slot into winner’s bracket one, while the winners of the GSL last chance qualification will slot in as each division’s fourth seed.
Georgia Southern University took the collegiate Call of Duty scene by storm and never looked back. The regular season domination left Georgia Southern as the sole undefeated team heading into the playoffs. With the number one seed, it was expected that they would sweep their way into the title.
In an unexpected turn of events, CCL Green swept the favorites in the winner’s bracket final. GSU player Apoc was unable to make the match which meant that the Eagles played a man down. After a frustrating loss, the team regrouped and prepared for a loser’s bracket run.
After their loss in the winner’s finals, Georgia Southern got their fourth and began their loser’s bracket run. First up was the hot CCL Red and their star player Physix. In a match to remember, Georgia Southern managed to take the win with a sweep on CCL Red. A rematch against CCL Green and two best-of-threes stood in their way from the title.
The momentum carried with GSU as they defeated CCL Green 3-1 in match one and 3-0 in match two. The Eagles won Season Zero dominating the regular season and grinding the playoffs. They will look to do better in the upcoming season.
