While playing through the recently released Diablo IV players may have encountered a troublesome error message when trying to log into a game session. The Diablo 4 error code 30008 is an annoying message to receive however there are solutions to resolve this troublesome situation.
Causes
It’s important to understand the cause of the error message before finding the solution. This error message is caused by either two things. The Diablo 4 servers or an unstable internet connection. More specifically the DNS server or an unstable NAT type can prevent players from being able to connect to the Diablo 4 server. With the game being newly launched it is also possible that servers are being overloaded which, creates traffic causing the title not to work properly as intended.
Solutions
- Flush the DNS to clear out all the information stored in the cache. If players are playing Diablo 4 on PC then Type ‘ipconfig /flushdns’ in the Command Prompt and press Enter to begin the process.
- As mentioned previously there can be times when the problems are out of the player’s hand. Located on the Blizzard website, the server status can be looked at if an outage occurs.
- Re-Verify the game files by opening the Battle.net launcher by selecting Diablo 4 from the game list, clicking the small gear icon, and selecting Scan and Repair.
- Simply hard resetting the game and/or device has prove to work for some players. As simple as it sounds a basic method such as this can be completely overlooked.
- Reset the router/modem, especially if NAT Type is set to “Strict”
- It sounds like a pain but reinstalling the game to make sure it’s fully updated is also a reoccurring solution.
- If all else fails it would be best to contact Blizzard Customer Support for a troubleshoot
