Cal U of Pennsylvania Player Passes Away
Cal University of Pennsylvania defensive lineman Jamain Stephens has passed away. It was originally believed to be COVID related, but statements about the issue have been retracted. He was 20 years old.

More Players Opting Out/Declaring for the Draft
More players are opting out and/or are declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft each day. Make sure to stay up to date with our Opt-out list and NFL Draft declaration list. Several Pac-12 and Big Ten players are declaring for the draft, with no season scheduled for them at the moment.
Baylor and Lousiana Tech Postponed
Baylor and Louisiana Tech were originally scheduled to play this weekend, but the game has been postponed. Louisiana Tech had 38 players test positive for COVID.
Source: Louisiana Tech and Baylor are postponing their game scheduled for Saturday. Louisiana Tech had an outbreak of positive COVID tests in the wake of Hurricane Laura, as 38 players tested positive. Prior to Laura, they’d had just one positive over three weeks amid 350 tests.

Pac-12 Players Transferring and are Eligible
Several Pac-12 players are transferring and are immediately eligible to play. Former Cal defensive end Luc Bequette is now with Boston College. Arizona linebacker Colin Schooler transferred to Texas Tech. UCLA’s Jake Barton is an offensive tackle who transferred to Baylor.

Southern Miss Parts Ways With Head Coach
Southern Miss has decided to part ways with head coach Jay Hopson. Assistant Scotty Walden will be the interim coach.
