College football ’18: Players to watch in Week 10

Each week, The Game Haus will highlight five players to watch from college football games featuring Top 25 teams. From established stars to players on the verge of breaking out, we’ll offer some names to remember every week of the college football season.

Here’s a look at five players to watch in Week 10 (All times Eastern):

Olamide Zaccheaus, HB, No. 23 Virginia

Matchup: vs. Pittsburgh, 7:30 p.m., Friday

Breakdown: One of the more versatile athletes in all of college football, Zaccheaus ranks among the national leaders with 56 receptions and became the Cavaliers’ all-time leader in catches with 213 following his second consecutive game with 10 last weekend. With his stellar career at Virginia winding down, Zaccheaus is being rewarded for his effort as Virginia leads the ACC Coastal Division and is ranked in the Top 25.

Andre Cisco, DB, No. 22 Syracuse

Matchup: vs. Wake Forest, Noon, Saturday

Breakdown: The freshman ranks among the top defenders in the country with four interceptions, and has been a nice surprise for the Orange. Syracuse could face a challenge this weekend at Wake Forest in Week 10. Demon Deacons quarterbacks have been intercepted nine times on the season. Cisco is also among the top freshmen nationally with nine passes defended.

AJ Dillon, RB, No. 24 Boston College

Matchup: at Virginia Tech, 3:45 p.m., Saturday

Breakdown: After rushing for 1,589 yards as a freshman last season, Dillon is at it again. Though he’s been banged up in 2018, Dillon has still managed to rush for 801 yards in six games  – 310 in the last two. He’s also averaging 5.8 yards per carry. In Week 10, Dillon and the Eagles face Virginia Tech, which has allowed an average of 289 rushing yards over the last three games, including 465 to Georgia Tech’s option attack last weekend.

Greedy Williams, CB, No. 4 LSU

Matchup: vs. No. 1 Alabama, 8 p.m., Saturday

Breakdown: This should be fun in Week 10. One of the best defensive backs in the nation trying to help the Tigers slow down the most potent passing offense around. Williams has just two of LSU’s 14 interceptions but his cover skills and overall physical play are what stand out. Tide receivers Jerry Jeudy, Jaylen Waddle, Henry Ruggs III and Devonta Smith are a dynamic group, so Williams and the rest of the LSU secondary have their work cut out for them.

Jordan Love, QB, No. 18 Utah State

Matchup: at Hawaii, 12:00 a.m., Sunday

Breakdown: The sophomore signal caller is a big reason the Aggies rank third in the nation averaging 49.4 points per contest. Four of his 18 touchdown passes on the season came in last week’s 61-19 rout of New Mexico. Love, who also passed for a career-high 448 yards in that game, has been picked off just four times and once in the last six outings.
