College Football 25 is coming out soon. The most coveted mode is dynasty mode, where players can choose programs to dominate with or rebuild. Team selection can be tricky so here are the best teams for College Football 25 dynasty mode.
There are different types of dynasties to try, so teams will be divided up to fit different categories.
Fun Right Away
Ohio State Buckeyes
With one of the best all-around rosters in college football, Ohio State can be fun to play with right away. Start winning championships with their loaded talent. They have good running backs (TreVeyon Henderson, Quinshon Judkins) and receivers (Emeka Egbuka, Carnell Tate, Jeremiah Smith) on offense and have several good players on defense to start off a dynasty with.
Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia always reloads and this year is no different. Quarterback Carson Beck is tied for the highest-rated quarterback in the game. Their defense is routinely great, especially with safety Malaki Starks patrolling the backend.
Texas Longhorns
Texas made the College Football Playoff last season and has so much talent returning. Quinn Ewers is back at quarterback, with Arch Manning backing him up. He’ll have plenty of weapons to utilize and left tackle Kelvin Banks back as well.
Oregon Ducks
Dillon Gabriel transfers in to play quarterback and he could improve an offense that ranked second in scoring last season. He will be joined by a talented trio of wide receivers in Tez Johnson, Gary Bryant Jr. and Evan Stewart. The defense won’t have quite the same potential, but the offense will make things a blast.
Alabama Crimson Tide
The most electrifying player in College Football 25 might be on Alabama. Quarterback Jalen Milroe can run and throw deep balls well. While new skill position players are needed to step up, Milroe should be well protected. Alabama’s defense had a few people ranked in the top 100 players released by EA Sports.
Missouri Tigers
Missouri surprised a lot of people by winning 11 games last season. With nine starters back on offense, they provide some players that can make things more enjoyable. Quarterback Brady Cook is stable, while wide receiver Luther Burden is one of the best in the game. He will also be joined by Theo Wease who had a good year last season as well.
Colorado Buffaloes
Colorado is probably the most overrated team in the game. They were rated that way for a few reasons though, with the top being that they have some top-tier talent. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders is tied for being the highest-rated at his position in the game. Cornerback/Wide receiver Travis Hunter is one of the best players in the game as well and will be fun to use on both sides of the football.
Big Conference Schools With Young Talent
Nebraska Cornhuskers
Dylan Raiola was a highly-ranked recruit and now has a chance to really do some damage for Nebraska as a freshman quarterback. Running back Emmett Johnson is also just a sophomore. Head coach Matt Rhule is just seeing his recruiting classes come in.
Kansas State Wildcats
Quarterback Avery Johnson played a little last season as a true freshman, but now has the reins to the offense. Running back DJ Giddens is a junior, while he will be joined in the backfield by Dylan Edwards, a sophomore, who transferred in from Colorado. There are also a few freshmen and sophomores projected to start on the line and on defense.
Arizona Wildcats
The dynamic duo of quarterback Noah Fifita and wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan are back in Tucson. Fifita is just a sophomore, while McMillan is a junior. They will be a fun combo in the game and if they don’t go pro, a user can play with them for a few seasons.
Iowa State Cyclones
Rocco Becht was thrust into the starting lineup last season as a freshman and had great results. He will be joined by five other sophomores in the starting lineup at various positions, giving a user the chance to play with familiar players if they can keep them on campus.
Tennessee Volunteers
Nico Iamaleava takes over the quarterback position after playing a little bit and redshirting last season. He has loads of potential and so does Tennessee. They have just nine projected starting seniors. Junior James Pearce Jr. could be there for two seasons if he can be convinced to stay.
Oklahoma Sooners
Quarterback Jackson Arnold, running back Gavin Sawchuck and wide receiver Nic Anderson are all sophomores. That trio could be fun to utilize for a few seasons in Norman during a dynasty.
Texas A&M Aggies
Texas A&M has a few young returning starters on the offensive line and quarterback Conner Weigman is just a sophomore. They have a few good running backs, but sophomore Reuben Owens was a very highly-rated recruit.
South Carolina Gamecocks
Quarterback LaNorris Sellers is just a freshman, but could be developed if used right in the game. He will have sophomore Nyck Harbor to throw to, who has a big body and some speed to go with it. There are also some young starters on the offensive line to work with.
NC State Wolfpack
Having NC State in this category centers around two of their wide receivers. Kevin Concepcion had an amazing freshman season and now returns looking to build on that. He will be joined by Noah Rogers, a former highly-rated recruit who transfers in from Ohio State.
Big Conference Rebuild
Cincinnati Bearcats
Cincinnati is just a few years removed from making a College Football Playoff, but they won just three games last season, which was their first in the Big 12. Turning them back around after they had some success could be fun and it could be easier for the user as they have a lot of returning talent in the trenches.
Stanford Cardinal
Stanford is also in a new conference this season, albeit the ACC. They are far from the days when they were making Rose Bowls. While the Cardinal don’t have a ton of talent, wide receiver Eric Ayomanor is a sophomore who could be fun to play with as a user rebuilds them.
Vanderbilt Commodores
Vanderbilt is a bottom-dweller in the SEC, which has now added two teams to the fold. Taking them from the bottom of the conference to the top would be the ultimate power conference rebuild.
Purdue Boilermakers
Purdue won just four games last season and seem to be struggling after Jeff Brohm left for Louisville. Bringing them back to being competitive will be a challenge.
Group of Five Fun Right Away
Boise State Broncos
Boise State won the MWC last season and could make the CFP this season with the expanded field as the group of five representatives. Malachi Nelson was highly recruited and transferred in from USC. He was redshirted so he is still a freshman. Running back Ashton Jeanty is one of the best in the country. The defense returns eight starters.
USF Bulls
The Bulls won seven games last season and bring back17 starters (nine on offense, eight on defense). The fun in playing with this team will start with quarterback Byrum Brown, who passed for over 3,200 yards and rushed for over 800 last season.
Liberty Flames
Liberty won 12 games last season and starting quarterback Kaidon Salter is back. He accounted for 2,876 passing yards and 1,089 rushing yards, which will make him hard to defend in the game. The Flames have hit the transfer portal hard to supplement their team.
Group of Five Rebuild
Kennesaw State Owls
Kennesaw State is the newest FBS team, moving up this offseason. They have only had a football team for 10 seasons and are still building. Bringing them from the bottom all the way to the top would be a journey.
UMass Minutemen
UMass hasn’t had much success, but are a fun team to rebuild with in College Football 25. They are an independent, so users can make their own schedules.
Akron Zips
At some point, each person playing College Football 25 needs to experience MACtion. Akron has won just two games a season over their last two seasons and a rebuild will be challenging and engaging.
