Dak Prescott was set to be a free agent after the 2024 NFL season. That is no longer the case, as Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys agreed to a four-year, $240 million contract extension according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Of the $240 million, $231 million will be guaranteed. It is the biggest contract in NFL history.
Prescott, 31, has passed for 29,459 yards, 202 touchdowns and 74 interceptions on 67 percent completion in his career. He has made three Pro Bowls and was the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2016.
The Cowboys and Prescott had been negotiating this offseason on a new deal, but really made progress right before the season started. They open the season up against the Browns in Cleveland.
