The Cleveland Browns have placed their center, Ethan Pocic on the injured reseve list. A knee injury is what landed Pocic on the IR, which means he will be unable to play for at least four weeks. They have signed another center to help replace Pocic.
PFF’s Ari Meirov reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
The 2022 season is Pocic’s first with the Browns, and his first with any team that isn’t the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle drafted him in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, with the 58th overall selection. He played five full seasons there.
As the tweet above states, Pocic has been PFF’s second-ranked center during this season. He is currently on a one-year contract, worth $1.1 million. His only accolade up until this point is being named to the Pro Football Writers’ Association’s All-Rookie Team in 2017.
